People and Program Administration Skills

 People and administrative skills have gained her success as an independent consultant for over 15 years. Some of these have been as follows:

  • Project Manager for the Australian Government Summer School (2008). She coordinated a team of high level people in a collaborative project including personnel from the University of Wollongong, The University of New England, Edith Cowan University and staff from the Department of Education and Workplace Relations and was successful in managing all stakeholder expectations. As part of the project, she coordinated and worked with an advisory panel that consisted of representatives from parents groups, professional organisations, principal groups and representatives from various school sectors.
  • Project Manager for National Reading Day on behalf of The Australian Literacy Educators’ Association and the Australian Association for the Teaching of English
  • In 2010 she acted as Project Manager for the National Celebration of Literacy.

 Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

 Wendy has been involved with a variety of school systems and individual schools to assist in the analysis of national test results (NAPLAN) utilising SMART data. Following the analysis she works collaboratively with key people in the system or school to devise a plan for action, providing advice, mentoring and support.

 Her responsibilities for managing various projects require leadership in strategic planning, resources allocation, program implementation, professional development and financial and educational accountability.
